Ten Hill Place Hotel is owned by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and was opened in November 2006. It was created from the combination of an existing Georgian building, previously the Postgraduate Residence of the College, with a stylish yet sympathetic new development. All profits from the Hotel are invested back into The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh to provide education and assessment for medical students, surgical trainees and consultants who in turn bring life-saving and life-changing skills to all corners of the globe.The Hotel is based in a quiet Georgian Square, a peaceful location in the City Centre, but still within walking distance of all the main tourist attractions, including The Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle and Princes Street.No. Ten Restaurant offers a carvery serving marinated roasts and seasonal vegetables, from midday to 1900 every day. An a la carte menu is available from 1900 each evening, which changes seasonally using locally sourced produce. Alternatively 10 Wine Bar, a fabulous contemporary space, is open from midday serving lighter snacks and an exclusive selection of wines supplied by Corney and Barrow, spirits and locally produced beers. Complimentary wi-fi is available throughout the entire Hotel.Our bedrooms are a palette of calming colours and textures. Personal safes, irons, ironing boards, hair dryers, and a hospitality tray are provided in every room. Our beds are all king or super-king with allergy-free duvets and pillows, to compliment a great night's sleep. Our sky-line rooms include an exercise bike, mini fridges, towelling robes and slippers. Our credentials include the gold award in Green Business Tourism, Eco Hotel of the Year in 2010 and Green Hotel of the Year 2012.
